Consistency is Key
Did you know that by January 19th most people have already abandoned their New Years resolutions? A year is 365 days long and 5% through the year people get discouraged and drop their resolutions. That’s why the theme for February is consistency.
Imagine it’s a freezing cold Monday morning. The last thing you want to do is go to the gym, right? But who says you have to drive all the way to the gym for a good workout? Doing a 10 minute cardio class you found on YouTube or just simply sitting on the floor and stretching is better than nothing.
Maybe you normally run 3-4 miles per day but you only have 20 minutes to spare. Running for 20 minutes is still better than not running at all! (Unless it’s a rest/recovery day of course…)
Once you start making excuses for yourself, it becomes easier and easier to keep skipping out on your new healthy habits. By staying consistent and doing something every day, you get closer to achieving your goals.
